How to Choose an Instrument

Universal testing machine is also known as universal material testing machine. This machine can conduct various mechanical tests on materials, such as tensile, compression, bending, shear, peel, puncture, and low-cycle fatigue. It is an instrument for detecting the physical properties of materials. It can be used for the detection of various raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products. Its application industries are very extensive, such as factories, schools (high schools, colleges, universities, etc.), research institutions, various testing units, etc. It is an indispensable detection instrument for material development, physical property testing, teaching, research, and quality control. The wide application of universal material testing machines and the variety of testing machine types have caused certain difficulties for customers when purchasing testing machines. So, what should customers pay attention to when choosing an instrument?
Purchase Instrument Considerations:
一、the force value of the test material (the sample to be tested) needs to be considered.
The force values that the samples need to be tested range are different, which determines the different structures of the testing machines. However, before choosing the model, we should leave a certain space for the instrument we need. It's not enough to just be able to conduct the test. For example: the maximum force for testing a certain material is 1200N. But when choosing the configuration, we must not select exactly 1200N. We can choose 1500N or above, but it must not be too large, as it will affect the accuracy of the test.
二、Issues Concerning the Experimental Space
Based on the size of the sample itself and the space required for the complete completion of this sample test (a successful test), this includes the limitations of the fixture. Different samples may require different types of fixtures, and there is also the issue of space considerations when testing the elongation rate of the sample.
三、 Other Configuration Issues.
Does the precise parameters required for this experiment need to be configured with other settings? For example, the elongation rate of rubber needs to be set for large deformation, and the rp0.2 of metal requires an electronic extensometer and the like.
四、Control and Precision of the Test
Currently, the control of the instrument is divided into manual control and computer control. This also depends on personal preferences and economic considerations. However, one thing to note is that manual control has a large error. In the case of computer control, it is related to the control system of the instrument. The precision of an instrument is not only a matter of its mechanical configuration, but also has a significant relationship with its control system. Even if this instrument has a high-precision configuration, if its control system technology is very backward, then no matter how high the mechanical configuration precision is, it cannot obtain an ideal data.
