There is a lack of key core technologies, low-level duplication, and the stability and reliability of products cannot be fundamentally resolved. In high-end precision instruments, there is still a serious reliance on imports, and large-scale imports have a negative impact on industrial development.
The main directions for the future development of the instrumentation and metering industry include five aspects: First, strengthen original innovation in scientific instruments, focusing on the national major frontier scientific demands, conducting research on new principles, new technologies, and new methods, striving to achieve major breakthroughs and leaps in frontier scientific instrument equipment; Second, strengthen integrated innovation, focusing on the development of competitive scientific instrument equipment in key areas such as frontier major scientific instrument equipment, general instrument equipment, and specialized instrument equipment, while strengthening the development and application of core key components and supporting systems of scientific instrument equipment; Third, pay attention to the digestion, absorption, and re-innovation of existing commercialized scientific instrument equipment, developing a batch of scientific instrument equipment with independent intellectual property rights, and improving the comprehensive usage efficiency of downstream scientific instrument equipment; Fourth, strengthen the application and demonstration of scientific instrument equipment with independent intellectual property rights; Fifth, continue to promote the construction of scientific instrument equipment industrialization bases.
To promote the improvement of China's independent innovation ability in scientific instrument equipment, the Chinese government has increased investment in scientific instrument equipment research and development, established scientific instrument special funds, and focused on supporting the research and development of original scientific instrument equipment and the development and application of major scientific instrument equipment products with certain application prospects.
