How to determine the quality of industrial casters
The extensive use of casters has not only promoted social progress but also had a significant impact on the development of our lives; for example, casters in furniture, casters in chairs, and some large-scale mechanical devices in industry have all adopted casters for ease of movement. It is easy to imagine how much convenience casters have brought to us. Among the casters we see in our lives, they cannot be used directly after being produced; they also undergo a series of tests before being packed, bundled, and used. The testing requirements for casters of different materials are naturally different. So, let's go to the professional manufacturer of casters, "Big World Casters", to see how they test the casters and finally become qualified casters.
1. Repeated wear and tear test:
The repeated wear and tear test of casters simulates the actual rolling situation of casters in daily use, which is divided into two types: with obstacles and without obstacles. During the test, it is not allowed for casters or other parts to detach. After the test, each caster should be able to perform its normal function. After the test, the rolling, rotation around the axis, or braking functions of the caster should not be damaged.
2. Salt spray anti-corrosion test
Objective of testing: To test the anti-corrosion performance of various metal parts such as brackets after surface treatment, to ensure that the anti-corrosion function of the caster during use meets the requirements.
3. Resistance performance test:
When testing this performance, the caster should be kept dry and clean. Place the caster on a metal plate insulated from the ground, keep the edge of the caster in contact with the metal plate, and load 5% to 10% of its nominal load on the caster. Use an insulation resistance tester (with a nominal open-circuit voltage of 500V, the measured resistance value fluctuates within 10% and the loss on the product does not exceed 3W) to measure the resistance value between the caster and the metal plate. For conductive casters, the resistance value should not be greater than 104 ohms, while the resistance of anti-static casters should be between 105 ohms and 107 ohms. 4. Impact test: Any item may collide and vibrate due to transportation, use, storage, etc., causing the product to be unusable for a certain period of time. Furniture, due to its large size and weight, is often prone to impact, and the caster at the bottom that determines whether the furniture is placed stably is even more likely to have good resistance performance.
