I. Explanation of the testing principle of the battery impact testing machine:
After charging the battery according to the test method specified in 4.5.1, place the battery on the platform surface. Place a 1.58mm ± 0.2mm diameter metal rod horizontally on the upper surface of the geometric center of the battery. Use a 9.1kg ± 0.1kg weight to drop freely from a height of 610mm ± 25mm onto the surface of the battery with the metal rod placed on it, and observe for 6 hours.
1.When conducting the impact test on the cylindrical battery, it is required that the longitudinal axis of the battery be parallel to the surface of the heavy object, and the metal rod be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the battery.
2. Square batteries and soft-packaged batteries only undergo impact tests on the wide surfaces.
3. When conducting the impact test on the button cell, the metal rod should be placed horizontally across the center of the battery surface.
4. Only one sample will undergo the impact test once.
5. The battery is considered qualified only if it does not catch fire or explode.
